At PSP, we always enjoy acknowledging Halloween, with our team members dusting off their spookiest costumes to wear for the day. Whilst we are sure that the PSP offices in Pinchbeck are not haunted, it has felt pretty spooky today. Our ghoulish colleagues have made the most of the season, with the inventive takes on TV characters, to the more traditional spectres associated with Halloween.
Halloween is traditionally spooky because of its routes with the ancient Celtic festival Samhain. People believed the boundary between the living and the dead was thin during the time of the festival, making it easier for spirits to appear. Over time, the related themes combined with Christian and folk traditions, evolving to become the spooky landmark with ghosts, witches, and monsters, that we know today.
