These moves are essential to help our developers work more efficiently, which in turn improves the overall service we provide to our clients.

With a 5120x1440 resolution and IPS Black technology, it’s like having two 27-inch screens side by side, giving our developers plenty of space to work with sufficient room to have their code, debugging tools and documents open all at once.

“The new monitors are brilliant,” said Brandon Chilvers, one of PSP’s in-house software developers. “It’s like having everything laid out on a massive desk and it saves considerable time not having to constantly switch between multiple monitors.”

The monitor’s internal multi-stream transport (iMST) feature lets developers split the screen into two QHD sections, acting like a dual-monitor setup. There’s also an Auto KVM function, which makes it easy to switch between two connected PCs using one keyboard and mouse. This is especially handy for tasks like coding, testing and reviewing, which are a big part of our agile development process.

Sustainability & Comfort

Our developers often spend long hours at their desks, so we chose monitors with features to make their work more comfortable. The new monitors also have ComfortView Plus, which cuts down on blue light while keeping colours sharp, so eyes don’t get tired as quickly. The 2000:1 contrast ratio and 100% sRGB coverage give clear, vibrant visuals, which is great for things like designing interfaces or working with data.

To stay competitive, we need tools that match industry standards. The new Dell monitors meet high benchmarks like EnergyStar®, TCO Certified Edge and EPEAT® Gold. It’s made with 85% recycled plastic and 90% recycled aluminium, which fits with our focus on sustainability as well as performance.
