New Umbraco Site For Gear 4 Motorcycles

Gear4 Motorcycles, the UK’s largest stockist of KTM Power Parts, Power Wear and OEM Spare Parts, approached PSP to design and develop two new e-commerce websites. These sister sites needed to share the same functionality but feature distinct branding.

The goal was to enhance website performance, improve customer experience and create a reliable revenue stream. Key requirements included building both sites on a single Umbraco CMS for easy management, integrating with their back-office CRM to sync product details and orders, adding functionality for managing delivery costs and incorporating dispatch manager tools.

After drafting and securing approval for a detailed functional specification for Gear 4, our team developed two fully responsive websites using the flexible Umbraco CMS. A central content hub enabled easy page creation, updates, and deletions, complete with an audit trail. We integrated the sites with Gear 4`s CRM for efficient product detail retrieval and seamless pushing of order and customer data. To manage internal access, we implemented seven permission-based user levels, providing control over dispatch, administration, and full site oversight. We also extended CRM functionality to manage delivery costs, discounts, and voucher codes, streamlining the order process.

The new sister websites transformed Gear4 Motorcycles’ online presence, delivering a fast, user-friendly e-commerce experience with distinct branding for each site. The Umbraco CMS makes content management effortless, allowing Gear4 to edit products, pages and images effortlessly while maintaining consistency across both sites.

The CRM integration streamlined order processing & inventory management, while the dispatch manager tools improved packaging and shipping efficiency. Tiered user permissions gave Gear4’s team flexible, secure access to manage specific tasks.
