Client Overview


A commercial energy broker supporting UK businesses approached PSP to design and develop a new CRM system to replace their existing web-based tool. The broker needed a comprehensive solution to manage client data, streamline internal processes and significantly reduce operational inefficiencies. The primary aim was to build a platform that would automate key administrative tasks, allowing the team to quickly find the best energy prices for their clients while minimising time spent on manual data handling. 

Challenge


The client’s existing system had become cumbersome, time-consuming and costly to maintain. Manual processes and lack of integration resulted in high administrative overheads and inefficiencies. Recognising the need for a more streamlined approach, the client sought to digitise their operations and implement a solution that could automate data handling and improve productivity. The new CRM needed to be adaptable to the unique requirements of the energy brokerage industry, secure enough to handle sensitive client and supplier information and scalable to support future integrations. 

Solution


PSP began by consulting closely with the client to fully understand their processes, pain points and operational goals. Based on these insights, PSP’s team created a comprehensive functional specification document outlining the exact requirements for the new CRM. The specification detailed the system architecture, workflow logic, data fields and integration points, providing a clear roadmap for development. After gaining approval from the client, PSP moved forward with the build phase.
