Arrow Films Information Portal and Supplier Application Integration

Arrow Films, a leading independent distributor of world cinema and classic films since 1991, required a robust e-commerce website paired with a sophisticated integration solution. They aimed to automate interactions between their new website, supplier product applications and an internal information portal (intranet).

The key requirements included a custom administration portal for streamlined management of products, orders, members and automatic integration with third-party supplier applications to minimise manual processes. The project’s success hinged on delivering seamless automation and clear, efficient workflows to enhance operational efficiency.

We developed a custom administrative portal, integrated with Umbraco CMS, based on a detailed functional specification derived from in-depth discussions with Arrow. This solution empowers the client to easily manage products, regional settings, email lists, marketing, orders, and reporting. The portal works in conjunction with Umbraco, providing full control over website content while handling backend processes. We also implemented automatic integration with third-party suppliers to streamline stock management, significantly reducing manual effort. Comprehensive test plans and user guides were provided to ensure a smooth implementation, adhering to ISO quality standards.
