Since PSP began in 2008, our people have been central to the business. This year’s Staff Day offered an opportunity to step away from everyday projects, spend time with colleagues and recognise the contribution everyone makes to our clients and our team.

The programme combined business updates with team activities, a charity and community update, and our annual staff awards. A BBQ and buffet gave everyone time to catch up before an afternoon of friendly competition and celebration.

The awards recognised colleagues who make a difference through their everyday contribution, exceptional performance and the service they provide to clients.

Vanessa Austin won Colleague of the Year, an award voted for by colleagues. It recognises the person who lives PSP’s values every day and makes an outstanding contribution to the team throughout the year.

Recognition from the people we work alongside makes this award particularly meaningful. Congratulations, Vanessa, and thank you for everything you do.

Brandon Chilvers won Employee of the Year, chosen by senior management to recognise exceptional performance and impact. PSP’s top staff award celebrates consistent excellence throughout the year. Brandon’s win recognises his contribution to the business and the difference he makes through his work.

Faisal Hanif won Customer Impact of the Year, recognising his work providing first-line and AV support for CIPS. Based on client feedback and selected by the Directors, the award celebrates work that clients noticed and valued. Congratulations also go to fellow nominees Thomas Weaver, for his Umbraco support for RKC, and Lynsey Greenfield, for her business analysis and testing support for CIPS.

The business sessions focused on how PSP can continue to grow while creating opportunities for our people.

A clear theme ran through the presentations: successful delivery and winning new business depends on expertise from across the team. Understanding a client’s needs takes input from different disciplines, with colleagues contributing their experience from the first conversation through to ongoing support. Staff also had the opportunity to put forward their own growth ideas, reinforcing the importance of everyone’s contribution to PSP’s future.

Alongside the updates, colleagues took part in “Two Truths and a Lie” and team games ranging from tin can knock down and velcro golf to a scavenger hunt. The tombola added a little extra competition, with a prize for everyone.
