People, Systems and Process (PSP) has successfully delivered Phase 1 of a major finance transformation programme for The Royal Kennel Club, transitioning the organisation from Microsoft Great Plains to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O).
The programme focused on replacing the legacy finance platform, improving financial reporting capability and creating a stronger foundation for future automation and integration.
As part of the implementation, PSP worked closely with the Royal Kennel Club finance and operational teams to redesign the organisation’s financial structure and Chart of Accounts.
Our Business Analysts and D365 configuration specialists worked directly with the finance team to understand current challenges, reporting requirements and future operational needs. This collaborative approach ensured the new finance structure was designed around the way the organisation operates, rather than simply replicating the legacy system.
The objective was not simply to migrate data from one system to another, but to improve the way financial information is structured, tagged and reported across the organisation.
The new design provides
Phase 1 of the programme focused on the successful implementation of the core D365 F&O platform.
PSP delivered the full lifecycle of the project including:
The project was delivered through close collaboration between PSP and the Royal Kennel Club finance teams, ensuring the platform was aligned to both operational processes and long-term reporting requirements.
At the point of go-live there were no existing integrations between the finance platform and surrounding systems. The initial focus was therefore to successfully implement and stabilise the core finance solution.
The implementation was delivered using a structured phased approach, allowing the organisation to successfully transition onto the new platform while continuing day-to-day finance operations.
Following the successful go-live of the core finance platform, PSP is now working with the Royal Kennel Club on the next phase of the programme, introducing integrations between Microsoft Dynamics CRM and D365 F&O.
The objective of this phase is to automate the flow of financial and operational data between systems, reduce manual processing and create a more connected technology platform across the organisation.
Once completed, the integrations will improve efficiency, reduce duplicate data entry and provide improved visibility across finance and operational teams.
The success of the programme has been built on strong collaboration between the PSP delivery teams and stakeholders across the Royal Kennel Club.
By combining finance expertise, technical delivery capability and structured project governance, the project has successfully progressed through analysis, design, configuration, testing and go-live.
PSP supports organisations across finance transformation, Microsoft Dynamics implementations, integration delivery and digital change programmes, providing experienced delivery teams across analysis, configuration, project management, testing and technical delivery.
