It gave us much joy to help provide children in a local children's home a magical Christmas experience, which included an enthralling puppet show, great presents and a royal Christmas lunch with all the trimmings.

We paid for a touring theatre company to visit the home and provide the kids with an unforgettable experience. They were treated to an hilarious puppet show, which brought many laughs and excitement for both the children and the staff.

The festive period can be a tough time for children in care, which was why we wanted to do everything we could to provide them with an amazing Christmas.

After Christmas, the home sent us this (redacted), which gave us a truly heart-warming and uplifting feeling:

"Just wanted to say on behalf of all the staff and children a massive thank you for organising the theatre company to come to our home.

The children and staff certainly enjoyed the show; I have not heard as much laughter and excitement for a long time. It's an experience I'm sure all the children will remember for life.

With our children being so young, they found this year's Christmas experience such a magical experience that could not have been made possible without your generous donation.

The presents set out in in the lounge, the table set for Christmas lunch, and the snowy footprints of Santa Claus made the children very excitable.

Tank you very much for all the support, love and care you gave to make this Christmas - to quote all the children - "the best ever"".
