Last week, we attended the South Holland Business Awards where we were shortlisted for the Care In The Community Award, which recognised our continuous commitment to giving back to the community.

Huge congratulations to Worldwide Fruit for winning the gong for the brilliant work they do to combat food waste and minimise their impact on the environment. 

We applied for this award because we wanted to raise awareness of the six children's care homes in Lincolnshire. We sponsor these and fund presents and days out during the year, as well as special events at Christmas.

We were shocked to find out there were that many in the county alone and wanted to use our position as a business to improve the lives of the children and staff in those care homes. We want every child in care to get a visit from Santa every year. We want them to get that special birthday present they really want. Most of all, we want them to feel that there are people looking out for them.
